Bruce Perry is the Franchise Owner of G.J. Gardner Homes Hutt Valley, bringing over 45 years of hands-on experience in the construction industry. A third-generation builder, Bruce’s deep roots in the trade reflect a lifelong commitment to quality craftsmanship. His portfolio spans everything from luxury lodges and 5-star boutique hotels to modest bush cabins and detailed shop fit-outs.
A previous winner of the Southern Region Master Builders Supreme House of the Year, Bruce has also earned multiple Gold Reserve and Lifestyle Awards, cementing his reputation for excellence. Based in the Wellington region, where his family also resides, Bruce continues a proud legacy of building with integrity, passion, and precision.
Taryn Perry - Franchise Owner, G.J. Gardner Homes – Hutt Valley, Wellington
With a background in nursing, policing, and 25 years of experience in the building industry, I bring a unique blend of care, integrity, and operational expertise to G.J. Gardner Homes – Hutt Valley.
Alongside my husband Bruce, I’m proud to help local families create homes they love. Having worked in administration and accounts in both our own building company and at PlaceMakers, I understand the importance of delivering a seamless and supportive building experience.
Having made the Hutt Valley my home, I am passionate about helping others build theirs. I am committed to making a difference to our local community and ensuring every client feels valued, informed, and confident throughout their home-building journey.

G.J. Gardner Homes has been operating in the Hamilton/Waikato region since 1997 and is owned and operated by Jeff and Karyn de Leeuw of R.G. de Leeuw Construction Ltd.
Jeff has been involved with G.J. Gardner Homes for over 21 years. While he has a background in Civil Engineering he was brought up in the residential construction industry. Born and bred in the Waikato, Jeff and Karyn enjoy spending their weekends enjoying all the area has to offer with their family.
Jeff's knowledge and experience has been utilised in other parts of the GJ group with his assistance in establishing GJ franchises in Papakura and Coromandel, and has overseen the construction of more than 3,000 family homes.
The Hamilton / Waikato business has been a strong market leader for many years. The team has also won multiple awards for International Franchise of the Year within the greater G.J. Gardner group. The team is extremely knowledgeable and qualified, with many having been part of the business for over 10 years.
