G.J. Gardner Homes, Taranaki Franchise, opened its doors in June 2006 and is owned and operated by Rod Roebuck and Ben Hawke of Ostra Holdings Ltd.

In 2016 Rod Roebuck and Ben Hawke purchased the franchise from the previous owners and have continued to grow the business while still creating high quality, well priced homes in the province they both call home.

Although Rod and Ben are new owners of the business they both have a long association with the Taranaki Franchise.

Rod has been there since day one back in 2006, beginning as an Estimator then moving into construction management before being given the opportunity to buy into the business, an offer he jumped at.

Ben may have only joined the team in 2015, but because his parents were the previous owners, he has been part of the G.J Taranaki family for many years. Ben has a wealth of building knowledge, from dairy sheds, housing and work on the Christchurch re-build.

"Our reputation is only as good as our last build" - Rod Roebuck

The Taranaki team have a wealth of local building experience and knowledge. They understand you are an individual with unique requirements when building your home. They work with you, taking time to ensure they design and build a home that suits you, your lifestyle, your budget and your needs. Their reputation has been created by delivering a positive experience, excellent service, and quality workmanship using quality products. This commitment to their customers makes G.J. Gardner Taranaki the success it is today.

Supporting locals is important too. They have been the largest fundraiser for The Taranaki Cancer Society for the last three years as well as supporting The Special Children's Extravaganza, Heart Kid's Foundation, numerous schools and their fundraising initiatives as well as individuals from within their region that are competing on a national and in some cases international stage.

G.J. Gardner Taranaki has built over 450 homes in their region and are extremely proud of the numerous awards they achieved over the last few years.

Bell Block, New Plymouth, Inglewood, Hawera, Oakura and Egmont Village are just some of the areas where they build around the Taranaki District.

From March 1st 2012 changes to the Building Act 2004 mean that building work of homes affecting the structure or water envelope (as when building new homes), will be classified as Restricted Building Work and is required to be carried out by competent, appropriately licensed building practitioners. At G.J. Gardner Homes, all of our franchises operate within the requirements of Licensed Building Practitioners. If you require any further information about licensing please click the logo above to go to the Licensed building practitioners (LBPs) website.
