We would like to pass on our sincere thanks to all the team at G.J.'s Dunedin for the wonderful job you have done building our new home. The end result is fantastic and we are really thrilled with the house. Thanks heaps for the fantastic job you have done, we really appreciated the hard work you all did which allowed us to be in our new home for Christmas. We have received lots of compliments about the house and we are all really pleased with it and enjoying living in it. Thanks so much to you all.

To The G.J. Gardner Team, Thank you so much for making our first building experience such a positive one! We have been totally impressed by your professionalism, but even more encouraged by the friendly and approachable manner we encountered along the way. Be assured we have been and will continue to recommend your company to friends and family.

G.J. Gardner Homes Otago (& Julie Dodds) thank you for everything you have done for us to ensure we were able to build the new home we wanted. All through the process you have been a real asset, making sure we were sure what we wanted to build and buying within our budget. We appreciated you showing us other homes so we could compare ideas. Your knowledge of all that goes with G.J. Gardner Homes is amazing. You were always warm and welcoming and nothing appeared to be a bother. We were treated as if we were your most important client and that gave us confidence knowing you were interested in us and what we were doing.
The Otago team opened their doors in April 2005 after receiving strong demand from the Dunedin market. The local franchise is independently owned and operated by Laurie Mains, Director of Clan Construction Ltd.
Many of you will know of Laurie Mains from being an All Black player and coach (plus of course being an avid Otago local). However, Laurie's key career has always been in residential building, for some 27 years or more, giving him an extensive background and knowledge of the residential building industry.
Laurie's experience, combined with the experience of his partners in the business who are qualified tradesmen, and with the rest of the team, has caused G.J. Gardner Homes to be an instant success in Otago. This has meant that they have quickly become the regions favourite building company, building more homes than any other builder.
Local sponsorship and support is very much a focus of Laurie and includes providing a free rugby ball to every school boy player at two rugby clubs in Dunedin. Laurie is working towards sponsorship of a similar programme for netball girls. Laurie also sponsors various service organisations for children with cancer.
They understand that you are an individual and you have unique requirements when building a home. By working together with you they can design and build a home that suits you, your lifestyle and your needs.
They also have a wealth of local building experience and knowledge to offer you. Combining this with "New Zealand's Number One home builder," the Otago team have built a reputation that ensures that all customers will receive excellent service, quality workmanship and quality product. It is the commitment to our customers that has made G.J. Gardner Homes the success it is today.
"We recognise that our clients are making the most important investment of their lives when they decide to build a G.J. Gardner home. We take that responsibility personally, and without compromise, commit to building your home as if it were our own" - Laurie Mains
Call in for a coffee and informal chat. Our G.J. Otago team would love the opportunity to build that "dream home" for you too!
Dunedin, South Otago, Waikouaiti, West Otago, Lawrence & Middlemarch are just some of the areas that they build in around the Otago region.
From March 1st 2012 changes to the Building Act 2004 mean that building work of homes affecting the structure or water envelope (as when building new homes), will be classified as Restricted Building Work and is required to be carried out by competent, appropriately licensed building practitioners. At G.J. Gardner Homes, all of our franchises operate within the requirements of Licensed Building Practitioners. If you require any further information about licensing please click the logo above to go to the Department of Building and Housing website.
