We would like to pass on our sincere thanks to all the team at G.J.'s Dunedin for the wonderful job you have done building our new home. The end result is fantastic and we are really thrilled with the house. Thanks heaps for the fantastic job you have done, we really appreciated the hard work you all did which allowed us to be in our new home for Christmas. We have received lots of compliments about the house and we are all really pleased with it and enjoying living in it. Thanks so much to you all.

G.J. Gardner Homes Otago (& Julie Dodds) thank you for everything you have done for us to ensure we were able to build the new home we wanted. All through the process you have been a real asset, making sure we were sure what we wanted to build and buying within our budget. We appreciated you showing us other homes so we could compare ideas. Your knowledge of all that goes with G.J. Gardner Homes is amazing. You were always warm and welcoming and nothing appeared to be a bother. We were treated as if we were your most important client and that gave us confidence knowing you were interested in us and what we were doing.
Graham & Jane Wilden
To The G.J. Gardner Team, Thank you so much for making our first building experience such a positive one! We have been totally impressed by your professionalism, but even more encouraged by the friendly and approachable manner we encountered along the way. Be assured we have been and will continue to recommend your company to friends and family.
The Otago team opened their doors in April 2005 after receiving strong demand from the Dunedin market. The local franchise is independently owned and operated by Brett McCormack and Michelle Macmillan, Directors of Clan Construction Ltd.
Brett and Michelle have taken over the reigns from former All Black and Coach Laurie Mains, who has stepped down after being involved with the franchise since its inception. Brett, who also has played rugby for Otago started with G.J’s as a builder in 2005 and over time moved into construction management then co-ownership. Michelle has also been with the Otago franchise since the beginning as the office manager, and has seen the franchise develop and evolve to suit the growing market.
The Otago team understand that you are an individual and have unique requirements when building a home. They will work together with you to design and build a home that suits your needs, your personal taste and your lifestyle. Their wealth of local building experience and knowledge will ensure that your home is constructed using quality products and quality workmanship.
"We recognise that our clients are making the most important investment of their lives when they decide to build a G.J. Gardner home. We take that responsibility personally, and without compromise, commit to building your home as if it were our own" – Brett McCormack.
Dunedin, South Otago, Waikouaiti, West Otago, Lawrence & Middlemarch are just some of the areas that they build in around the Otago region.

From March 1st 2012 changes to the Building Act 2004 mean that building work of homes affecting the structure or water envelope (as when building new homes), will be classified as Restricted Building Work and is required to be carried out by competent, appropriately licensed building practitioners. At G.J. Gardner Homes, all of our franchises operate within the requirements of Licensed Building Practitioners.
