G.J. Gardner Homes Nelson Franchise opened its doors in December 2000. The franchise is independently owned and operated by Graham and Shirley Vercoe, Directors of LSK Builders 2000 Ltd.
Upon completion of his Carpenter's apprenticeship in 1979 Graham Vercoe left New Zealand to work in Australia and has been extensively involved in the residential and commercial building industry. In 1992 Graham returned to Nelson where he was involved in numerous residential developments in the Nelson region until he opened the G.J. Gardner Nelson franchise in 2000. Graham is supported by his lovely wife Shirley who is an Administrator for the office.
Local sponsorship and support is very much a focus of Graham and Shirley and they have given financial support to various children's sporting individuals and groups.

The dream has become a reality. Three years ago we immigrated to New Zealand with a vision - to design and build our dream home on our own piece of paradise. This has been made possible by the dedicated team of professionals at G.J. Gardner Homes. Support beyond the call of duty has been available with no hassle at all times from all the staff. Solutions to arising issues were always dealt with in a friendly and professional manner. Altogether a great experience for our first home build in New Zealand. - Nigel & Denise Teal
After having seen many open homes and sections, the choice to build with G.J. Gardner was an obvious one. Being new to the country, we didn't know how the building process worked. G.J. Gardner helped us every step of the way making it a very pleasant experience. We made some alterations to the existing plans. They ensured that we knew exactly how much everything was going to cost before construction started so we wouldn't face any surprises at the end and we could stick to our budget. They stayed in close contact with us throughout the entire building process. On-site meetings were scheduled at various stages of the process and this ensure we were all on the same page. We shifted in last month and the house already feels like home. We are not looking to move anytime soon but if we do, there is no doubt who we will be building with! - Hans Wiers
We initially approached the G.J. Gardner franchisee for our home-build project because we were aware of the reputation they had for building quality houses. From the outset we were given every help and advice on design, colour schemes and even available sections. Once the design had been chosen, Gardner's staff were able to give us an inclusive price, which was fixed, and once the house was started we even had a guaranteed ‘moving-in' date. The finished quality was everything we had hoped for, with attention to detail unknown in our home country of the UK. We were delighted with the outcome and would have no hesitation at all in recommending others to take the same route. - Mr. Lorenz Kahl
