Over the past 15 years G.J. Gardner Homes in Whangarei/Kaipara has enjoyed a great reputation through building quality and value for money homes for hundreds of Northlanders. As of October 2012, the business now has new owners - Peter and Pamela Butler of Butler Holdings Ltd.
Having recently moved up from Auckland with their three daughters aged 6 months, 2 and 6 years, they are excited about joining the leading home building business in New Zealand.

Peter has returned to G.J.’s after previously working for the head office for four years. A key focus of his role was to ensure franchisees and their staff were adequately trained to use the G.J. Gardner in-house job management system. He has been away for just over a year, still within the building industry working in a challenging management role, but is now enjoying being back with G.J.’s utilising his knowledge and experience.
Peter and Pamela believe that what makes G.J. Gardner Homes such a unique business is the vision of the organisation.

Peter and Pamela will continue to use the same highly skilled and experienced trades-people that have been involved in the business for the past 15 years. “We are privileged to have such great staff and an experienced team of subcontractors to call on from day one” says Peter.
With the shift out of the way, Peter and Pamela are now concentrating on building relationships and getting involved in the community – Pamela says “It’s been a big shift for the family moving up from Auckland. The people here in Whangarei have been very welcoming and have helped us settle in really fast”.

We are retired farmers and have moved into a smaller rural property in Maungatapere. Kevin was a builder and chose G.J. We are now living in a G.J. Gardner Home which gives us great satisfaction. We enjoyed being involved in the planning, from drawing board through to type of materials inside and out and our own choice of colours. The result was a dream home with first class materials and finish, we have had four new homes in the past and none have given us the satisfaction that this one has. We were given a date of completion and a fixed price and kept informed throughout the building process which in fact finished before the given time. Advertising is a great medium but it has to be backed with results and G.J. Gardner has fulfilled all of their performance claims.
